On September 25th, Dr. Manuel Perez Garcia and researcher Marisol Vidales Bernal from Pablo de Olavide University, Spain, visits LUFE Silk Road Economic Research Institute. The academic exchange meeting is hosted by Dr. Liu Ming and the Institute academic team deeply communicates with Dr. Manuel Perez Garcia. 

Manuel Perez Garcia makes an academic presentation titled “Big Data Mining in Global History: The GECEM (Global Encounters between China and Europe) Project Database and the Footprints of the Silk Road and Trade Networks in China and Europe (XVIIth -XIXth Centuries) ”, introducing current research in the field of Belt and Road in detail and exchanging views with scholars in Silk Road Economic Research Institute. 
Dr. Manuel Perez Garcia says the visit is productive and both parties agree to further cooperate in academic research and information exchange. Dr. Manuel Perez Garcia mainly focuses on the research of China-Europe economic trade, consumption and economic growth. He is the host of GECEM project in Pablo de Olavide University, Spain, and currently Associate Professor at the Department of History, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Researcher Marisol Vidales Bernal is the leader of GECEM project. |
