For the purpose of further enhancing internalization of higher education, and promoting the bilateral communication and cooperation with universities in the U.S., from April 22thto 36th, vice president Hu Kai led the delegation to visit the University of Central Oklahoma(UCO) and the Central Washington University(CWU). During the visit, the delegation met the leaders of UCO and CWU, as well as relevant schools, and held the discussion about joint dual-degree program, visiting scholars, collaborative research projects, “point to point” faculty cooperation, etc.
Oklahoma and Gansu are sister provinces. In April, 2016, Don Betz , the president of UCO and the delegation visited LUFE, and signed the cooperation agreement with President Fu Deyin. LUFE visited UCO with the hope to further implement the agreement and promote programs such as joint-degree programs. During the meeting, both parties officially signed the “3+1+1”joint bachelor and master program and “1+1+1” joint master program .
Central Washington University is ranked “the first class university in Washington State” by The Economist and “the top 5% business school around world” by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Leaders of CWU and LUFE delegation held the meeting and achieved a Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding.
The visits LUFU delegation made to universities in the U.S further expand international education cooperation partners and enhance cooperative relations.
